Talk Application, Registration, and Support
Read "Conference Style and Infection Prevention Measures" below carefully before making your registration.
-
1
Registration (Deadline: October 31, 2022; CLOSED)
Registration closed. If you have made registration before the deadline, you can attend the symposium (except those who got special instruction). You can't attend the symposium if you have not registered or being invited.

Talk Application (Deadline: September 30, 2022; CLOSED)
Application closed: If you have not submitted an abstract after talk application, please submit your abstract (PDF, A4 paper, about one page, English) at Abstract Submission Page.
If there are many speakers, we might ask you to change the length of your talk.
You can choose the length of your talk from 30 minutes and 50 minutes. Since we will have an invited speaker from abroad, prepare your slides or writing in English. We also encourage you to speak in English.
We will not make the printed proceedings, but you can make your slides or notes available on our website. We will let you know the details later.

Conference Style (Updated on July 24, 2022)
We plan to hold the symposium completely IN-PERSON this year, but we will change the plan in the following cases:
If a state of emergency is declared in Osaka Prefecture (or it becomes impossible to hold an in-person symposium in Osaka University), sometime from October 14 to the end of the symposium, then the symposium will be completely ONLINE from that point on.
If a state of emergency (except Osaka) or a semi-state of emergency is declared in some prefecture(s) in Japan, sometime from October 14 to the end of the symposium, then the symposium will be in HYBRID style, meaning that each participant can decide whether they attend in-person or online. However, we ask you to attend online if you stay in one of the prefectures under a state of emergency.
If some participant(s) get positive for COVID-19, then the symposium will be completely ONLINE from that point on.
If some participant(s) get a fever (37.5°C or higher), then the symposium will be in HYBRID style. We ask you to attend online if you have talked or dined with them without wearing a mask.
If the symposium is completely ONLINE, each speaker can choose whether giving an online talk or simply uploading the contents of the talk (such as slides, notes, or a video you recorded) to our designated page (which is also regareded as a "talk"). The organizers will manage those files and make them available only to the participants of the symposium.
If the symposium is in HYBRID style, each participant (including speakers) can choose whether they attend in-person or online. If the speaker choose to attend online, the rule will be the same as the completely online case.
If the meaning of a (semi-)state of emergency, or any of other factors changes, the organizers may change the above policies.

Infection Prevention Measures (Updated on July 24, 2022)
We ask all participants to take the following infection prevention measures:
Always wear a mask in the lecture room.
Disinfect your hands when you enter the room or use shared items in the room, such as hand-held microphones, chalks, or erasers.
Keep your social distance; do not sit right next to another participant.
Do not eat in the lecture room.
Check your temperature every morning. If your temperature is 37.5°C or higher, refrain from coming to the campus and inform the organizers.
Whether you have a fever or not, stay home if you are in bad health potentially related to COVID-19.
If the guideline of Osaka University changes, the organizers may change the above policies.
For other measures, have a look at Requests from Osaka Prefecture.
